Over the last decades, LASER COMPONENTS USA has established itself as a pivotal hub for sales, marketing, and distribution. In a large and diverse country like the United States, we made the strategic decision to cover this vast area by having experienced engineers across the country. A choice that increases availability and allows us to support customers locally. With production sites for our core product lines “just around the corner” in Arizona and Quebec, we can respond to customer requests faster than most of our competitors. In recent years, LASER COMPONENTS has also been relying on video conferencing and webinars to help train our customers' engineers, allowing for more receptive design considerations that enable solutions beyond borders. 

LASER COMPONENTS USA is registered according to the ITAR guidelines (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) of the United States Department of State. In addition, we signed a Manufacturing License Agreement with LASER COMPONENTS Germany, which has also been approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls of the U.S. Department of State. This agreement allows our German facilities to manufacture laser optics according to US specifications.

For over 30 years, Matt Robinson has been an active driver of growth within the optics and photonics industry.  With his mechanical engineering education, MBA, three patents, and over a decade of practical engineering experience before moving over to the product management and sales side of the industry, Matt is well versed in all aspects today’s engineers face when seeking solutions.  His previous roles at Corning and Schott enable him to bring thoughtful solutions that best integrate with a customer’s specific systems. Directing US sales for LASER COMPONENTS, Matt has helped customers fully integrate optoelectronic solutions into their systems, created custom product training for customers’ engineering teams, and helped secure a strategic investment for the LASER COMPONENTS. Matt excels at bringing the incredibly custom approach to crafting optics and photonics solutions for one customer and one application at a time that Laser Components is known for around the world. 

Paul Sharman

With over three decades of experience in the photonics industry, Paul has led operations, sales, and marketing teams to success.  He leverages his diverse background in photonics and full cycle knowledge of the supply chain to partner with customers at the design phase, providing insights that reduce costs and improve manufacturability.  Paul has helped customers implement LiDAR technology from its early stages of smart cruise control to very recent applications within complete autonomous vehicles.  He continues to apply a holistic approach to helping customers and excels at bringing ideas from concept to fully physical, qualified solutions. 

Huyen Vu

Huyen's photonics expertise span more than years, beginning with his aeronautics education and a thesis enabling the visualization of air flow in aircraft turbines with laser light.  As director of sales for the optics and laser product groups, Huyen leads LASER COMPONENTS' sales team towards consulting on the best laser solution for their customer's unique applications.  From consumer products to medical and industrial applications, Huyen is passionate about the impact lasers and light continue to have on the world and the latest technological advances.
