FEMTO’s broad range of voltage amplifiers, current amplifiers and lock-in amplifiers provide sophisticated methods for detector pre-amplification and transient measurements, among many other applications.
Variable (gain 10 to 60 dB), logarithmic (up to 80 dB) and wideband (DC to 10, 200 or 500 MHz) voltage amplifiers are available. Low frequency devices include the control of gain settings and bandwidth by switches directly on the amplifier. The dependence of the gain setting with the bandwidth is minimised, allowing rise/fall times to remain constant across the gain settings.
For current amplifiers, we offer ultra-low noise (0.18 fA/√Hz), high band width (400 kHz) and high gain (1013 V/A) products. These modules are small and offer short electrical connections to the detector, before the signal-to-noise ratio significantly decreases due to cable capacitance and noise pickup.
State of the art optoelectronic systems utilise lock-in-amplification as one of the most useful techniques to remove unwanted noise, thus improving measurement sensitivity.
These modules operate reliably even in extremely noisy environments. Phase, gain and time constant are controlled either by switches directly on the amplifier module or externally using a standard digital I/O computer board.
Certain parameters across all these products can also be customised, enabling us to provide tailored devices to suit our customers’ specific requirements.
