The following rule applies to spring: The winter will be on its way eventually. Therefore at our trade show booth, we will be presenting diamond-like carbon (DLC) coated, silicon or germanium-based IR windows that have withstood the windscreen wiper test (TS 1888) undamaged. At the same time, this coating functions as a simple AR coating. In the hybrid DLC version, these layers are combined with dielectric layers using a special method. And for those who prefer the summer: These IR optics also withstand sandblasts.
