Ab sofort sind von LASER COMPONENTS auch kontinuierlich emittierende Single Mode Quantenkaskadenlaser unter der Produktbezeichnung SPECDILAS-QCW-XXXX-GMP lieferbar. Die Betriebstemperatur dieser DFB-Laser liegt bei 77 K. Bei cw-QCLs bietet der Betrieb bei tiefen Temperaturen Vorteile in der Lebensdauer gegenüber dem Betrieb bei Raumtemperatur. Die Ausgangsleistung beträgt 20 mW bei 7,7 µm bzw. 50 mW bei 5,2 µm. Besonders interessant sind diese Laser, da ihre Linienbreite gemäß theoretischer Abschätzungen nur einige 10 kHz beträgt.
